Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, certified Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. This role is primarily field-based and requires a mechanic who can work independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and provide high-quality repairs with minimal supervision.
Preference will be given to candidates with extensive service truck experience who can confidently step into a field service role and be productive from day one.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty equipment and trucks.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled servicing.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brakes, drivetrains, and related components.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service information.
- Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and maintenance records.
- Respond to field service calls in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
- Identify potential equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain service truck inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all company and industry safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers, operators, and management.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience working independently in field service environments.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and work around heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Service truck experience.
- Experience with construction, forestry, mining, transportation, or agricultural equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Class 1 or Class 3 license considered an asset.

Compensation & Benefits
- $50–$60 per hour, depending on experience.
