Prairie Pointe Developments Ltd. is looking for motivated and experienced Carpenters/Construction Workers to join our team.
Prairie Pointe Developments Ltd. is a locally owned construction company offering quality services to Humboldt and the surrounding area. We specialize in residential and commercial projects.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Construct, install, and repair walls, floors, roofs, decks, and other structures.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor trusses, lay subflooring, and erect wall and roof systems.
- Install doors, windows, siding, trim, mouldings, cabinets, hardware, and other finishing materials.
- Perform residential and commercial construction tasks as assigned.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed according to building codes, company standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a construction crew.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in construction, with framing, roofing, metal cladding, and siding considered strong assets.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building practices.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Minimum 3–5 years of construction experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
