Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver - Class 3 to join our transportation team. This role involves operating 18 speed trucks primarily in Calgary and the immediate area. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, the ability to handle occasional lifting, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 3 trucks to transport goods between locations according to work flow
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation
- Communicate effectively with our team and able to understand instructions
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in driving dump trucks and handling city driving preferred
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Good physical condition, capable of handling physical demands of the role including lifting heavy items not regularly required but would be preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
