Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment on construction and excavation job sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, skilled, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

· Water and sewer installation
· Culvert repair and replacement
· Septic system installation
· Leaky basement repairs
· Trucking, bulldozing, and excavation
· Hydrovac services
Key Responsibilities
· Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and skid steers on various job sites
· Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and backfilling according to project requirements
· Safely work around underground utilities and follow all locates and site plans
· Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and basic equipment maintenance
· Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and regulations
· Communicate effectively with site supervisors and crew members
· Assist with general labour duties when required
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites
Qualifications and Requirements
· Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or excavation
· Strong understanding of excavation practices, grading, and site preparation
· Ability to read and interpret site plans and grades (asset)
· Knowledge of safe operating procedures and job site safety standards
· Experience working around utilities and following locates
· Valid driver’s license (AZ or DZ considered an asset)
· Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
