Job Summary
The River Cree Medical Clinic is seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinic Manager. The Clinic Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the clinic, including administration, human resources, financial oversight, and patient experience. This role ensures the delivery of efficient, culturally safe, and high-quality primary healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, scheduling, and service delivery
- Develop and maintain clinic policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols
- Manage the EMR system, ensuring data integrity, privacy compliance, and accurate reporting
- Coordinate facility operations, including maintenance, equipment, and vendor relationships with River Cree Medical Centre
- Support development and administration of the virtual clinic in partnership with Cleveland Clinic
- Collaborating with the HRBP (River Cree Ventures) on recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and staff wellness
- Coordinate staff scheduling, performance reviews, and professional development
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and culturally safe workplace aligned with Enoch Cree Nation values
- Partner with clinical leadership to support team integration and effective communication
- Prepare and manage the clinic budget with the Executive Director of Health Services, including financial reporting, variance analysis, and cost control
- Oversee billing, insurance claims, and financial compliance; support grant funding and reporting
- Ensure a patient-centered, culturally safe approach; manage patient concerns and feedback
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation preparation
- Monitor and analyze clinic performance data to inform decision-making
- Build and maintain relationships with community leadership, partners, and service providers
- Represent the clinic at meetings and collaborate with on-site providers to support integrated care
Experience
- 3–5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a healthcare or clinical setting
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to culturally safe and trauma-informed care
- Experience working with First Nations, Métis, or Inuit communities is an asset
- Knowledge of Indigenous health systems, social determinants of health, and community wellness models preferred
- Familiarity with virtual care/telehealth platforms and provincial healthcare regulations is an asset
- Strong knowledge of clinic operations, patient scheduling, and healthcare administration practices
- Financial literacy, including budgeting, billing, and reporting
- Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office

WORKING CONDITIONS
- On-site role based at River Cree Medical Centre, Enoch Cree Nation.
- Standard Monday to Friday business hours with flexibility required to meet operational needs.
- Occasional evening or weekend availability for community events or urgent operational matters.
- Collaborative environment working alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health and administrative staff.
