Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Polyson Polyethylene Products (1986) Ltd. is a family-owned manufacturer with over 40 years of excellence in polyethylene packaging products in the Greater Toronto Area. We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our production equipment and facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency
- Perform preventative maintenance on bag machines, printing presses, slitters, laminators, extrusion equipment, compressors, and supporting plant systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control system issues
- Replace and repair motors, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, heaters, pneumatic components, and other machine parts as required
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
- Maintain maintenance records and communicate recurring equipment issues to management
- Work closely with production personnel to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is an asset
- Experience in flexible packaging, plastics, converting, printing, or manufacturing environments is an asset
- Willingness to learn and be trained on company-specific equipment
