les amis du FROMAGE is looking for a full-time Assistant Manager to join our family-owned and operated specialty cheese shops in Vancouver. You will help lead daily retail operations, support staff, and share our deep passion for exceptional local and imported cheeses with our wonderful customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the store manager with daily retail operations and staff supervision
- Deliver friendly, expert customer service and cheese recommendations
- Train team members on product knowledge, cutting, wrapping, and counter standards
- Assist with inventory flow, merchandising, and store organization and cleanliness
- Assist with receiving, administrative tasks, and cross-department collaboration
Qualifications
- Proven retail management or supervisory experience, ideally in cheese or specialty food
- A strong interest or background in cheese, charcuterie, and gourmet foods
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Available to work flexible shifts, including weekends
- Able to work at either our Kitsilano or East Hastings location.
- Able to lift 25 kg
- Able to work in cold storage areas for extended periods
- Able to stand for extended periods
- A positive, hands-on attitude and commitment to top-tier customer care
- Valid BC Drivers license an asset
