Modern PURAIR Halifax is growing and looking for an Air Quality Technician to join our team.
We provide professional air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, HVAC cleaning, and other indoor air quality services for residential and commercial customers throughout the Halifax area.
No previous HVAC or duct-cleaning experience is required. Full training is provided.

Hours will vary based on workload, particularly during the first few months, with the opportunity for full-time hours as workload increases. Some workdays may be longer depending on the jobs scheduled.
What You’ll Do
- Drive a company Mercedes Sprinter Van to scheduled jobs
- Clean HVAC systems, air ducts, dryer vents, and related equipment
- Operate specialized Modern PURAIR cleaning equipment
- Explain the process and recommended services to customers
- Complete job reports and invoicing using an iPhone/iPad
- Maintain your vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory
- Deliver a professional customer experience on every job
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, positive, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Friendly and confident communicating with customers
- Hands-on and comfortable with physical work
- Comfortable using ladders, working at heights, and occasionally in tighter spaces
- Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driver’s abstract
- Able to pass a criminal background check
Experience with HVAC, tools, construction, maintenance, or customer service is an asset, but not required.
Compensation
Starting wage is $18–$22/hour, depending on experience and skills. Experienced technicians with relevant technical or service experience may earn up to $25/hour.
As your skills, training, certifications, and responsibilities grow, there is opportunity for your hourly wage to grow as well.
