Blue Thunder Construction Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our dedicated team for the day/evening shift. If you have hands-on experience servicing and repairing heavy-duty commercial trucks and trailers and construction equipment, and take pride in quality work, we are happy to hear from you.
Please note: Certification as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic is not mandatory, but a minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy trucks and trailers is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair issues related to engines, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspensions, electrical and electronic systems.
- Perform routine and advanced preventive maintenance services.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic systems
- Inspect, adjust, or replace components in chassis, frames, cabs, bodies, fuel, and brake systems.
- Repair and maintain truck-trailer systems, including structural, brake, and electrical components.
- Road test vehicles to diagnose issues and verify repairs.
- Identify warrantable repairs and document them on repair orders.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Complete technical service reports from various manufacturers accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with team members and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working on heavy trucks and trailers (required).
- Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is a strong asset.
