Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced machinery and tools in a dynamic industrial environment, contributing to high-quality production processes.
Duties
- Operate and maintain CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and other machining equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate sheet metal parts
- Use hand tools, calipers, and mechanical knowledge to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components
- Perform welding and assembly tasks to create finished products according to design requirements
- Utilize cranes and forklifts for material handling and positioning of large or heavy components
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and perform basic maintenance on equipment
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication environments
- Proficiency with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and machining processes
- Skilled in blueprint reading, calipers use, welding techniques, and mechanical assembly
- Familiarity with operating cranes, forklifts, hand tools, and quality inspection tools
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to sheet metal fabrication such as press brake machines and CNC milling machines
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for precise fabrication
- Prior experience with CNC lathe or CNC milling machine is a plus but not mandatory
This position requires a dedicated individual capable of working with precision tools and machinery while maintaining safety standards. The role offers the chance to develop advanced skills in sheet metal fabrication within a professional manufacturing setting.
Pay: $20.82-$35.00 per hour
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
