Role Summary
We are hiring a Personal Insurance Service Representative for our Grimsby affiliate office.
This full-time position supports an established portfolio of clients, with a focus on outstanding service, accuracy, and long-term retention. If you are client-driven and RIBO-licensed, we want to hear from you.
As a licensed insurance broker, you will provide best-in-class customer service, work closely with clients to assess their coverage needs, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions that align with their budget and priorities. You will educate clients clearly, provide thoughtful advice, and deliver professional service effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Managing Partner to support client strategy, service delivery, and portfolio performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted point of contact.
- Complete new quotes and ensure competitive product and pricing options are offered.
- Review renewal policies to identify optimal coverage and savings opportunities.
- Explore, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities within the book of business.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of insurance products and educate clients on their policy coverages and needs.
- Perform front-line underwriting to ensure risks align with company and insurer guidelines.
- Prepare policy documentation to bind and confirm coverage.
- Complete policy changes and endorsements accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor team workflow queues to ensure files are processed within service standards.
- Respond to client walk-ins, calls, and emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Resolve client concerns with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve shared goals and service standards.
Education & Experience
- 1–2 years’ experience in personal lines customer service (preferred).
License/Certification

- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and binding authority.
- Experience using insurer portals and quoting systems.
- Valid G-class driver’s license.
Preferred / Assets
- Strong industry knowledge of Personal Auto, Habitational, Recreational and Seasonal Property insurance.
- Enrollment in, or completion of, CIP or CAIB designation.
- Experience with CRM platforms or client management systems.
- Previous customer service or sales experience.
- Comfort working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong keyboarding skills and general tech confidence.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop professionally.
