Shifts:
-Day Shift : Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Night Shift : Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00 pm
+$1.00/hour premium for night shift
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role - Level 2 or higher
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Familiarity with automotive and heavy duty repair and maintenance procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
-Familiar with the tools of the trade and equipped with adequate supply of hand tools
-Experience working on school buses considered an asset
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment, including but not limited to trucks, school buses , trailers and other heavy equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulations
