The Role
As the first and last face our guests see, you are a crucial part of our team. We are looking for a professional, reliable, and observant Door Person who balances a welcoming attitude with firm, authoritative control. Your primary goal is to maintain a safe, secure, and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Access Control & ID Verification: Greet guests warmly while strictly verifying identification to ensure legal drinking age and compliance with capacity limits.
- Crowd Management: Monitor the entryway, line, and main floor to prevent overcrowding and maintain a smooth flow of traffic.
- Conflict Resolution: De-escalate potential issues calmly and professionally using verbal communication skills before they escalate.
- Safety Enforcement: Monitor guest behavior for signs of intoxication or disruption, and safely escort individuals off the premises when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with bartenders, floor staff, and management to communicate any floor issues and maintain overall venue safety.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Security License: You must hold a current, valid security guard licence.
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience working door/security in a hospitality, bar, or nightclub environment is highly preferred.
- Strong Communication: Ability to be polite but assertive, with excellent verbal de-escalation skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in loud environments, and handle physical interventions safely if absolutely necessary.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and available to work late-night weekend shifts, including holidays.
- Certifications: Valid Security Licence, Smart Serve
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
