Overview
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various warehouse equipment, possess mechanical aptitude, and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse
- Assist with order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels and locations
- Perform heavy lifting tasks and ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage or injury
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Support warehouse distribution activities by loading, unloading, and staging products as needed
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times during operations
Skills
- Proven experience with warehouse distribution processes and equipment operation
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
- Strong understanding of order picking procedures and logistics workflows
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management
- Good communication skills for teamwork and safety compliance

Pay: $17.90-$24.41 per hour
