General Scope of Duties
Repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance of company fleet. Fleet includes pickup trucks, backhoes, skid steers, mini excavators, bucket trucks, digger derricks, vacuum trucks, and other heavy equipment, vehicles and small tools.
- Mechanic’s primary goal is to identify and complete all necessary repairs as required
- Inspecting each unit for any defects, necessary repairs, missing paperwork, etc.
- Source & order parts. Return any defective parts.
- Diagnose and repair any equipment brought into the shop.
- Check all repaired work to ensure that vehicles are in good and safe operating condition.
- Review repair orders to ensure all repairs are completed in a timely manner
- Document repairs and cost in legible and complete fashion.
- Record parts and equipment utilized on the repair order
- Maintain a clean and safe work area e.g.
- Clean up any scrap/garbage, ensure hoses/cords are rolled up and store correctly
Experience
-310T is required
- Experience with Hydraulics required
- Hands-on experience in shop processes
- Understand and adhere to the Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations.
- Dependable, hardworking, punctual, reliable, team player with positive attitude.
Additional Training (Bonus - But not Required):
- Mechanical and Welding Experience, D or AZ License, Fork Lift Operation experience.
- Experience with aerial devices (booms and bucket trucks) would be an asset
