Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with various hand and power tools. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while performing tire repairs, replacements, and general vehicle maintenance. The Tire Technician Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers.
Duties
- Install, repair, and replace tires on commercial transportation vehicle using appropriate tools and equipment
- Perform wheel alignments, balancing, and other related services to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and identify mechanical issues requiring attention
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
- Assist customers by explaining services needed and providing recommendations for tire care and vehicle maintenance
- Perform heavy lifting of tires and other automotive parts safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle
Requirements
- Prior dealership experience or mechanic experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and tire technology
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance practices
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic sales skills are a plus for recommending additional services or products to customers
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
