About Us
Smithco Enterprises Ltd. operates across a variety of industries, including food service, construction, hospitality, and other business sectors. We are seeking an organized and motivated Human Resources Manager to support our growing team across multiple business units.
Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Administer payroll
- Support performance management, training, and employee development.
- Maintain HR policies and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
- Manage and maintain employee records, benefits, and leave administration.
- Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Correspond with relevant government agencies
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is an asset; equivalent experience will be considered.
- HR experience is a must.
- Experience with recruitment, payroll administration, employee relations, and policy development.
- Knowledge of Alberta employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Knowledge of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP), LMIA processes, and foreign worker compliance requirements is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Payworks.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
