We currently have an opening for a Manufacturing & Systems Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the General Manager, the Manufacturing & Systems Engineer will be responsible for a range of duties including but not limited to the following:

- Manage procurement and oversee the integration of CNC machinery and Cobots to meet operational requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance and establish protocols for Cobots and CNC machinery to for optimal efficiency.
- Maintain and manage CNC programming databases.
- Engineer designs for robotic applications and program cobots.
- Program cobots for various tasks to enhance productivity.
- Evaluate and implement methodologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve production line issues and propose modifications to tooling and processes.
- Serve as the primary PLC programmer, addressing automation issues and enhancing machine functionality.
- Manage in-house 3D printing initiatives for rapid prototyping and product development.
- Establish safety systems for robotic systems and CNC machinery.
- Responsible for issuing/maintaining engineering documentation, participation in design reviews and managing Engineering Change Orders.
- Plan the work done most efficiently, balancing factors—such as time, number of workers needed, available technology, actions workers need to take, achieving the end product with no errors, workers' safety, environmental concerns, and cost.
- Design/modify parts for CNC machines, gun drills, reamers, and broach machines to keep the old machines moving.
- Prepare and manage Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents for capital projects.

- Engage with vendors to communicate project updates and address quality concerns.
- Identify and assess new suppliers to contribute to cost-saving strategies.
Education and Experience
- Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must have 3-5 years work experience in a manufacturing and CNC machining environment.
- Must be highly proficient in GD&T application.
- Significant SolidWorks experience in 2D and 3D design and drafting of parts and assemblies.
- Experience with ASME, AISI and ASTM standards for materials and components.
- Knowledge of lean and six sigma principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs used to create reports, documents and charts.
- Must have a flexible and creative approach while working in an environment that is dedicated to continuous improvements.
- Robotic and automation experience in an industrial facility is an asset.
- Exceptional leadership skills, problem solving abilities.
- Strong capabilities in planning, organizing and process control.
- Have or be able to obtain a Possession & Acquisition License (PAL)
- Registered Professional Engineer desired.
- Eligible to travel to USA.
