Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards as per Ministry Of Education in Ontario
- Deliver instruction in English and other subject areas (such as IELTS), adapting methods to meet diverse student needs
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
- Incorporate tutoring sessions to support individual student learning needs
- Manage classroom behavior to maintain a safe and respectful learning space
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success
- Integrate laboratory experiences when applicable to enhance practical understanding of scientific concepts
- Support students with special education needs by adapting instructional strategies accordingly
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field; teaching certification preferred
- Prior classroom experience working with high school students
- Strong knowledge of Math curriculum and teaching methodologies
- Experience or training in special education is advantageous
- Laboratory experience is a plus for science-related subjects
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and staff
- Ability to tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
- Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Passion for education and commitment to fostering student development
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
