We are seeking a Journeyman or 3rd year Apprentice Welder. You will be working in a fast-paced, diverse environment. We offer a competitive starting salary, and full benefits after completion of the probationary period. The position is full-time, with standard hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime and weekend and onsite work may be required depending on customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Receive jobs from your manager and carry out what is needed to complete the job
- Assess the jobs received and decide the most efficient and effective way of completing the job without sacrificing quality, with the assistance of a manager if needed
- Check in with your manager in the morning for a job schedule and list of priorities.
- Run an initial quality control check on the parts that are finished
- Make sure to follow safety precautions (proper eyewear, safe footwear, proper monitoring of machinery etc.) in order to maintain a safe workplace for yourself and those around you
- Operate all welding supplies, tools & machines in accordance with manufacturer specifications and formal hazard assessments
- Maintain material/tool stock room to ensure that the area is kept clean and items are easily accessible
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Communicate your questions or concerns with supervisors & managers.
- Report any concerns regarding machine maintenance, or performance of the machines. Schedule maintenance and repairs on these machines if needed

- Versatile & Experienced
- Good understanding of repair shop atmosphere
- Multi-tasking with frequent need to respond to issues
- Willing to work overtime and weekends
