Truman is seeking a Senior Estimator to support the administration of single-family and duplex home projects from project setup through pre-construction and construction.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple active files at once. The Senior Estimator plays a key role in keeping projects moving by coordinating documents, submissions, schedules, approvals, and follow-up across internal teams, consultants, suppliers, and field staff.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Managers to ensure projects are organized, accurate, and progressing on time.
Experience:
- Implement systems, procedures and controls to ensure cost effective purchasing practices are in place.
- Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with budget, company policies and procedures.
- Residential and Commercial construction knowledge is a must.
- Must have at least 5 to 10 years of take-off packages, spreadsheet, New Star Constellation, MS Excel, MS Word, and Estimating packages.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
- Liaise, consult and communicate, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Post-secondary education is required.

- Build and maintain estimates for both single family and multi-family projects within Excel, New Star or Project Site

- Blue beam, AutoCad and Adobe
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Liaise, consult and communicate, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Post-secondary education is a must.
- Problem solving and decision making skills.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail.
- Must be able to work as a member of a greater team.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Experience reviewing contracts an asset.

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
