Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist the dentist during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a sterile environment
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when needed
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns throughout their visit
- Assist with laboratory tasks including CAD/CAM restorations when required
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
Experience
- Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program is required
- Prior experience with dental software such as Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms is preferred
- Familiarity with orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practice is essential
- Experience working with CAD technology for restorations or orthodontic appliances is advantageous
- Previous experience assisting in a busy dental office demonstrating excellent patient care skills is highly valued
