Position Summary
We’re looking for a skilled Steel Welder / Fabricator who can help us expand production of welded frames, steel posts, gate kits, and structural components. You’ll work in a clean, well-organized shop with clear systems and processes, and you’ll play a key role in improving workflow and maintaining top-tier quality standards.
Responsibilities
Welding & Fabrication
- MIG weld steel frames, posts, gussets, U-channel, gate frames, and accessories
- Fabricate components using jigs, fixtures, and precision measurements
- Prepare, cut, and grind steel to spec (band saw, chop saw, grinder, etc.)
- Weld to industry standards with clean, strong, consistent beads
Shop & Production Support
- Assist in production of hog-wire panels, steel gate kits, and modular fence systems
- Work with the assembly team to minimize material waste and maximize throughput
- Follow production tickets, cut lists, and quality-check procedures
- Help improve processes and layout for greater efficiency
Safety & Equipment
- Operate welders, grinders, plasma tools, and shop equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform daily checks and minor maintenance on welding equipment
Requirements
- 2+ years MIG welding experience (CWB not required but an asset)
- Ability to read drawings, cut lists, and measurements accurately
- Comfortable working with jigs, fixtures, and repetitive production welding
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Forklift experience an asset (we can certify you)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing shop environment
