Are you an experienced 60T Master Captain with a passion for the ocean, wildlife, and creating unforgettable guest experiences? Join Orca Spirit Adventures and spend your days exploring the Salish Sea while introducing guests from around the world to whales and other marine wildlife.
What You'll Do
· Safely operate semi-covered and covered passenger vessels during whale watching tours.
· Ensure the safety and comfort of guests and crew.
· Deliver engaging commentary about marine wildlife and conservation.
· Promote environmental stewardship through education.
· Work closely with naturalists, crew members, and operations staff.
· Conduct vessel safety inspections before and after each tour.
· Represent Orca Spirit Adventures professionally.
Qualifications
Required:
· Valid Transport Canada 60T Master Certificate.
· Current Marine First Aid Certification.
· Strong seamanship and navigation skills.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Preferred:
· Whale watching or marine tourism experience.
· Knowledge of the Salish Sea.
· Passion for marine mammals and conservation.
· Biology or marine science background (asset).
