The Opportunity!
Our Personal Lines division is seeking a results-driven Personal Insurance Executive with a demonstrated track record in new business development. This is a growth-focused role for a self-motivated, tenacious sales professional who thrives on generating new clients, closing business, and continually expanding their book — in addition to managing and growing existing accounts. The successful candidate will leverage HUB’s in-house Personal Lines program, High Value programs, special risk options, and standard market offerings to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
A day in the life-
New Business Development – Drive growth of the book of business through new client sales. Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities from a variety of sources, including networking, referrals, and centers of influence. Proactively ask for the business and pursue leads with persistence and a sense of urgency.
Account Rounding & Cross-Selling – Actively round accounts, solicit coverage increases, cross-sell across the product suite, and pursue win-backs to maximize each client relationship.
Client Relationship Management – Conduct proactive outreach, annual review calls, and deliver a high standard of client service across the personal lines book of business.
Risk Assessment & Coverage Design – Tailor insurance programs to meet client needs across personal lines products, including complex assets such as multiple properties, high-value collections, luxury vehicles, and specialty risks.
Claims Advocacy – Act as a client liaison during claims, coordinating with insurers to facilitate timely resolution.
Market & Carrier Engagement – Liaise with underwriters, negotiate terms, and stay current on available products and market offerings.
Portfolio Monitoring – Track policy renewals, coverage gaps, and changes in client circumstances or asset values.
Referral Network Development – Build and maintain referral relationships with local professionals including realtors, notaries, mortgage brokers, and other community centers of influence.
Sales Performance – Take ownership of individual sales goals, track activity against targets, and consistently work to meet and exceed them.
Continuous Learning – Stay current on evolving risk areas and product developments relevant to personal lines clients.
What you will bring to the team -
Level 2 General Insurance License (required).
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Personal Lines producer or in a role with a primary focus on new business development and sales.
Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities, including account rounding and cross-selling.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-directed and highly motivated, with the persistence and drive to independently generate new business and grow a book of business.
Experience building referral relationships with realtors, notaries, mortgage brokers, and other community professionals.
Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency in serving client needs.
Salary Expectations –
The compensation for this position is a variable compensation structure, ie., base salary plus commission. As such, the total compensation earned will vary depending on the successful candidate’s book of business at a particular time. The expected base salary for this position is $50,000 to $60,000, plus commissions will be paid based on successful sales performance. The total compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. A relocation allowance may also be available for qualified candidates.
