- Possess a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field from a community college or university. Alternatively, you may be currently enrolled in such a program or have equivalent experience or be willing to obtain the necessary degree
- Assisting in planning and producing activities that enrich the physical, cognitive, social and spiritual lives of residents
- Monitoring visits for residents with their family and friends
- Encouraging and motivating residents’ participation in small and large group activities and programs
- Serving as a positive presence in the lives of residents and their families
- Knowledge for RAI MDS would be beneficial
- Experience in working with Seniors
- Genuine caring for and interest in the elderly
- Willing to work all shifts in the department
Pay: $20.73-$21.67 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
