Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. Experience with dental software such as Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
- Provide patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and preventive practices
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks related to the dental reception area
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Support patients by addressing their questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy
Experience
- Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix is highly desirable
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology will be advantageous
- Experience working as a dental receptionist or in a clinical setting is a plus
- Certification or training in CAD technology for digital imaging is beneficial but not required
