Inventory & Account Support Planner
Location:
Fort Erie, Ontario (on-site). This is an on-site position. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Fort Erie on a daily basis.
Company overview
Yoke Niagara is the North American division of a Taiwan-based manufacturing group serving the fall protection and industrial safety market. From Fort Erie, Ontario, we support customers across North America through disciplined inventory management, responsive customer service, and reliable supply-chain execution.
Position summary
Yoke Niagara is seeking an Inventory & Account Support Planner to support our key customers with daily communication about orders, inventory, and shipments, and to manage the planning and data needed behind those conversations. Systems and customer forecasts provide much of the demand signal; the core of this role is using that information to give clear, timely answers to customers and to help keep inventory in the right place at the right time.
This role works closely with the Operations Manager, Account Managers, and other team members in a small, collaborative office environment. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers and speaking with customers every day. Over time, there will also be opportunities to participate in in-person customer meetings and occasional trade-show attendance as the role grows toward more account-facing responsibilities.
What you will do
Account and customer support (core of the role)
· Communicate daily with customers by email and phone about order timing, releases, delivery status, and shipping priorities.
· Respond promptly to customer requests such as “has this shipped?” and “when will this ship?”, providing accurate status and tracking information.
· Participate in regular customer inventory calls, helping to explain current inventory, upcoming supply, and any timing changes in clear, practical terms.
· Work closely with Account Managers to ensure customer information, forecasts, and delivery expectations are aligned with actual inventory and inbound supply.
· As you grow in the role, participate in selected in-person customer meetings and occasional trade shows to support account-facing discussions about inventory, products, and programs.
Inventory, planning, and internal coordination
· Receive and enter customer forecasts, blanket orders, and demand updates into ERP and planning systems.
· Review inventory coverage against forecasts and open orders to identify potential stock-out or excess situations, and suggest adjustments to order timing and quantities.
· Prepare recommended purchase or production orders for review and approval by the Operations Manager.
· Monitor inventory position, inbound containers/shipments, open customer orders, and forecasted demand; flag issues early so customer communication can be proactive.
· Track inbound containers and shipments, maintain status reports, and highlight potential supply issues so that contingency plans and allocation decisions can be made.
· Work closely with coworkers to review inventory issues, shipping priorities, and customer requirements.
· Collaborate with the Operations Manager and internal team to resolve supply, timing, and order-related issues.
· Share information clearly across the team so customer communication and inventory decisions stay aligned.
What we are looking for
· Experience or exposure to inventory planning, demand planning, supply-chain coordination, order management, or a similar operations role is beneficial.
· Customer-facing or supplier-facing experience is strongly beneficial.
o Examples include account support, customer service, inside sales, or a planning/operations role where you communicated directly with customers or suppliers about orders, deliveries, or inventory.
o Recent graduates with strong co-op, internship, or entry-level experience in these areas are encouraged to apply.
· Strong analytical ability and comfort working with numbers, demand patterns, and inventory implications.
· Strong communication skills and confidence interacting directly with customers about forecasts, timing changes, inventory position, and shipment priorities.
· Comfortable working in a small team environment with close day-to-day collaboration.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate clearly with both customers and coworkers.
· Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
· Strong Excel and general computer skills (sorting, filtering, lookups, pivot tables).
· Ability to manage detail-oriented work while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Education:
o College diploma or university degree required.
o A major in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, Commerce, or a related field is an asset.
Why this role matters
