Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall in a variety of residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by creating smooth, durable wall surfaces that meet high standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels accurately according to project specifications and blueprints
- Secure drywall sheets using appropriate fasteners, ensuring proper alignment and stability
- Finish joints with taping, mudding, sanding, and caulking to achieve a seamless surface ready for painting or finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine materials needed and installation procedures
- Apply construction painting techniques when necessary to prepare surfaces for final finishes
- Perform minor carpentry tasks such as framing adjustments or repairs to support drywall installation
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on drywall installation or related trades
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with construction painting, caulking, and finishing techniques
- Carpentry skills that support framing adjustments or structural modifications
- Familiarity with handyman tasks that enhance overall project quality and efficiency
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and ladders safely and effectively
- Prior experience in construction painting or general handyman work is highly desirable
