This is a hands-on, entry-level role starting at $21 per hour, with comprehensive health benefits and a consistent Monday to Friday rotating shift schedule. Employees work one week from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by one week from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the schedule repeating every two weeks.
Job Summary
The Filling Operator is an entry-level production role responsible for assembling and preparing cable components in a safe and efficient manner. Working under the direction of the Filling Crew Chief, this position involves hands-on tasks such as cleaning raw materials, preparing product, and handling materials, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and seeks stable, full-time work with opportunities for growth in a supportive manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks such as cleaning, straightening, and preparing rods and tubes
- Safely operate hoists and other equipment
- Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized
- Report equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Filling Crew Chief
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety practices
- Take part in training and remain up to date on work instructions
- Complete other duties as assigned
Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing settings is preferred.
- Experience following written work instructions is an asset.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools or operating machinery is helpful, but full training is provided.
