Advanced Motion & Controls Ltd. is seeking a person to join our warehouse at our headquarters in Barrie. We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive attitude, eager individual to join our fast-paced environment.
Your role will include but not limited to the following daily activities:
- Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer
- Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
- Loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Unpack, inspect, sort and route goods to appropriate storage areas
- Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
- Accurately account for materials through material adjustment submissions.
- Perform inventory counts.
- All other tasks as delegated by supervisor including warehouse / shop clean up and building maintenance.
Skills, knowledge and work experience required:
- Completion of secondary school or equivalency
- Experience in a related occupation or as a warehouse worker
- Basic computer skills / Document use
- Must have basic knowledge of hand tools and simple power tools
- Oral communication / Working with others
- Forklift experience an asset
