Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries and direct calls appropriately
- Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and update electronic medical records accurately
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized office records
- Handle patient payments and process billing transactions efficiently
- Maintain a clean and professional front desk environment
- Support the dental team with administrative duties as needed during clinic hours
Requirements
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting REQUIRED
- Knowledge of dental software such as Open Dental is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records management
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Office experience in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently on Saturdays with reliable attendance and punctuality
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
