Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, including administering medications and treatments
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Prepare animals for surgery, monitor anesthesia, and provide post-operative care
- Collect samples (blood, urine, feces, etc.) accurately and efficiently for laboratory analysis
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients
- Educate pet owners on health care, medication administration, and post-treatment care instructions
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and examination rooms
- Support client communication by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing compassionate care
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent certification
- Laboratory experience is preferred to support diagnostic testing processes
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical practices, procedures, and protocols
- Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning within the veterinary field
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
