Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Painter Crew Leader to oversee and coordinate painting projects across residential, commercial, and renovation sites. In this dynamic role, you will lead a team of skilled painters, ensure high-quality workmanship, and maintain safety standards within people's homes. Your expertise in various painting techniques, job site processes, and team management will drive successful project completion while fostering a positive work environment. Duties
- Lead and supervise a crew of painters, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow on each project site
- Prepare surfaces using all proper paint preparation techniques
- Execute residential and commercial painting projects using hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other necessary tools
- Read work orders to accurately follow project specifications
- Perform training to the crew if and when necessary
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to maintain a secure work environment for the crew
- Conduct quality inspections throughout projects to guarantee professional standards are met or exceeded
- Communicate clearly with the homeowners and project manager to ensure a smooth hands off process for the customer.
- Complete reporting to ensure satisfactory work is completed daily and both homeowner and project manager understand the stage of the project
Skills
- Extensive experience with all aspects of painting and project planning
- Proficiency in residential painting techniques including spray applications
- Strong knowledge of preparation, caulking, finishing, problem solving paint adhesion
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining clear communication and motivation
- Experience with maintenance tasks such as handyman repairs or general site upkeep is a plus
