The Broadway Subway Project Corporation (BSPC) is an Acciona-Ghella general partnership to deliver a 5.7 km extension of the Millennium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. Once complete, it will provide fast, frequent and convenient service to B.C.’s second largest jobs center, world-class health services, an emerging innovation and research hub, and growing residential communities.
Summary
We are seeking an Engineering Co-op for a 6-month co-op work term to join our team in the exciting Broadway Subway Project located in Vancouver, BC. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of our project, contributing to the development of a vital transportation link that will serve the community and enhance mobility across the region.

Responsibilities
You will work with Broadway Subway Project Construction team, reporting directly to a Senior Engineer/ Architect/ Station Manager/ Traffic Manager and working alongside our diverse team of professionals. You will be involved in a wide variety of activities, supporting our operations.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience, learning how to apply the skills and knowledge you’ve acquired through your education in a professional setting. You will be exposed to and participate in a variety of functions depending on the role you are assigned, such as:
- Technical/Design/BIM
- RFQ/RFP preparation
- Procurement
- Commercial
- Estimating & Quantity Takeoffs
- Scheduling & Planning
- Cost Control
- Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
- Construction Management
- Geotechnical
- Traffic Planning & Coordination
- Other
Experience / Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering co-op program at university and available to commit to a 6-month co-op work term.
- Demonstrated interest in large-scale infrastructure projects, including rails, highways, tunnels, geometric design, road works, and pavement engineering.
- Collaborative team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, combined with excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with Revit, BIM, and AutoCAD is considered an asset.
- Proficient in the use of computer systems and a wide range of engineering software applications.
