This is not just a general labour position. Restoration technicians develop skills in water damage restoration, structural drying, mould remediation, fire and smoke restoration, asbestos abatement, demolition, specialized cleaning, containment systems and professional restoration equipment.
We provide on-the-job training and opportunities to complete industry training and certifications as you progress.

What You'll Do
Restoration work is hands-on and every project is different. As a Restoration Technician, you will work alongside experienced team members on residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mould, asbestos and other types of property damage.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Setting up and taking down work areas, containment systems and site protection
- Assisting with water damage mitigation and structural drying
- Performing controlled demolition and removal of damaged building materials
- Cleaning and preparing affected areas for restoration
- Assisting with mould remediation and asbestos abatement projects after completing required training
- Setting up air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA air filtration and other restoration equipment
- Loading and unloading tools, equipment and materials
- Using hand tools, power tools and specialized restoration equipment
- Maintaining clean and organized jobsites, vehicles and equipment
- Following PPE, respirator, decontamination and other health and safety procedures
- Taking jobsite photos and completing basic project documentation
- Supporting Lead Technicians and Project Managers in completing projects safely and efficiently
- Participating in ongoing training and certification as your skills develop
Who We're Looking For
You do not need restoration experience to be considered.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is dependable and shows up ready to work
- Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in their work

- Can follow instructions and established safety procedures
- Is comfortable using tools and performing hands-on work
- Can perform physically demanding work, including regularly lifting and carrying 50+ lbs
- Is comfortable working in different environments, including dusty, wet, hot or confined work areas when required
- Treats customers, their homes and their belongings with respect
- Is safety-conscious and understands the importance of doing work properly
- Has a valid Class 5 driver's licence
Experience in restoration, construction, demolition, cleaning, maintenance, moving, landscaping, warehousing, trades or other hands-on work is an asset, but is not required.
Experience pulling trailers is also considered an asset.
Training and Career Development
Restoration is a specialized industry, and we don't expect entry-level applicants to already know everything.
The right candidate will receive hands-on training in areas such as:
- Water damage restoration and structural drying
- Moisture detection and monitoring
- Mould remediation
- Fire and smoke damage restoration

- HEPA filtration and specialized restoration equipment

Work Schedule and Conditions
Restoration work does not always happen on a predictable schedule. Most work takes place during regular working hours, but occasional after-hours, emergency, on-call or out-of-town work may be required.
Out-of-town projects are not frequent. When travel is required, applicable accommodations and per diem are provided.
Some projects involve working around water damage, mould, smoke damage, construction dust, asbestos-containing materials or other contaminated environments. Employees receive appropriate training and are provided with the required PPE and safety equipment for the work they are assigned to perform.
Some work requires the use of tight-fitting respiratory protection. Employees performing this work must be clean-shaven within the respirator sealing area when required to maintain a proper respirator seal and comply with workplace safety requirements.
Where You'll Work
Our shop is located in Oak Bluff, immediately southwest of Winnipeg.
Depending on the project, technicians may report to the Oak Bluff shop or directly to a jobsite. Employees are not necessarily required to travel to the shop before every project, particularly when reporting directly to a jobsite is more practical based on the project location.
Our projects take place throughout Winnipeg and surrounding communities, with occasional projects elsewhere in Manitoba.
