The Role:
- General maintenance – signage, floor repairs, ceiling repairs, millwork install, fixturing, and more.
- Be able to use a variety of hand and power tools (drills, nailers, saws, etc.).
- Loading and unloading construction materials and moving them to different work areas.
- Ensure site/vehicle cleanliness and organization
- Ensure compliance of all health and safety requirements.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
- Follow instructions from project managers, supervisors, and colleagues
- On the job learning and problem solving.
- Ability to work overnights as needed
The Ideal Candidate:
- Preference will be given to those with construction / service technician experience.
- High level of reliability, initiative, proactive problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- The ability to fit into and work with a construction-based team.
- Works well with others and has the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A valid driver’s license
- Steel-toed boots and cell phone.
- The ability to travel within Canada.
- Lives in the Winnipeg / surrounding area (office/shop is not on a bus route)
