Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental and medical office procedures, and proficiency with electronic health records systems. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and maintaining efficient office operations.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Manage appointment scheduling using Tracker software systems
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accordingly
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
- Collect patient payments, process billing, and handle insurance claims
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment adherence
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist with administrative support during busy periods
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist is highly preferred
- Proficiency with Tracker and electronic medical records systems is desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practices
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Office experience in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Familiarity with front desk operations and administrative procedures in healthcare settings
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Dental Receptionist Course Completion required
- 1-2 years of experience required

Pay: $19.21-$31.65 per hour
