Position Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
We are currently looking to fill two part-time positions:
- Weekend Barista: Available to work every Saturday and Sunday.
- Saturday Barista: Available to work every Saturday, with the possibility of one additional shift during the week or weekend.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Help create a positive, welcoming, and supportive work environment.
- Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, matcha, and other menu items to company standards.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming customer service.
- Maintain consistency and quality in all drinks and products.
- Build relationships with regular customers and contribute to a welcoming neighbourhood atmosphere.
- Answer customer questions and resolve concerns professionally.
- Complete opening and closing procedures as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee shop, including customer areas, workspaces, and equipment.
- Properly clean and maintain equipment and work areas.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety procedures.
- Follow and help maintain company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support team members and contribute to the smooth operation of the coffee shop.
Qualifications:
- Barista experience is required
- A valid food safe certificate is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Flexible availability, including holidays
- A background in hospitality is an asset
- Must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday during the day
- Must be entitled to work in Canada

Shift Details:
- Shifts are up to 8 hours in length and include a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
- position is expected to start in mid-September, depending on the timing of our storefront opening.
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week
