Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Dental Assistant Level II to join our dynamic dental team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment where your expertise in dental assisting, orthodontics, pediatrics, and dental technology will be valued. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix. As a key member of our practice, you will support both clinical and administrative functions to ensure exceptional patient care and smooth office operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained
- Take and develop dental radiographs; manage digital imaging systems
- Provide patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and preventive practices
- Manage patient records accurately within electronic health record systems
- Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
- Assist with the fabrication of dental appliances and orthodontic devices as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, ensuring a comfortable experience for every patient
Requirements
- Certified Dental Assistant Level II certification required
- Experience with making provisional temporary crowns and proficient with alginate impressions
- Proven experience with dental assisting procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics preferred
- Proficiency with dental software
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Experience working as a dental receptionist or in a clinical administrative role is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Ability to pass background checks and maintain compliance with all health regulations
