Responsibilities
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about produce varieties, and offer product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain the freshness and quality of fruits and vegetables through proper handling, storage, and rotation practices
- Merchandize produce displays attractively to maximize sales potential and ensure compliance with store standards
- Operate equipment such as forklifts safely when necessary for stock movement or inventory management
- Keep the produce area clean, organized, and sanitized by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to safety protocols
- Support cashiering activities by processing transactions accurately and efficiently when needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure proper inventory levels, restock shelves promptly, and manage stock rotation effectively
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or working with fresh produce is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Ability to operate a forklift safely; certification is a plus but training can be provided
- Strong customer service skills with clear communication abilities in multiple languages (bilingual skills are advantageous)
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain a tidy work environment
- Capable of performing physical tasks including lifting heavy items, standing for extended periods, and performing routine cleaning duties
- Good attention to detail to ensure product quality and store presentation standards are met consistently
- Reliable team player with effective communication skills who can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From $16.60 per hour
