Since 1994, Can-Design has been the "one-stop shop" for Metro Vancouver’s most ambitious environmental graphics. We control the entire process—design, 3D modeling, CNC fabrication, welding, and installation—under one roof.
The Advantage: Unlike other sales roles where you start from zero, Can-Design provides you with a pre-loaded pipeline. We receive a high volume of inbound inquiries from top-tier brands and developers. Your mission is to take these "walk-ins" from a simple email inquiry to a high-value, site-visited, "Render-to-Reality" success story.
The Dual-Track Sales Strategy
1. The Consultant (Inbound)
Transform warm inquiries from our 30-year reputation into closed contracts through expert site visits and material consultations.
Goal: Increase average order value through "Value Engineering" and proactive upselling.
2. The Architect (Outbound)
Identify and cultivate new relationships with General Contractors, Developers, and Institutional partners (UBC, KPU, etc.).
Goal: Secure long-term, multi-phase projects and master service agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Site-First Consultation: Move beyond the inbox. You will be expected to visit project sites across Metro Vancouver to conduct measurements, assess installation constraints, and build face-to-face rapport.
- Material Mastery: Lead shop tours for architects and designers. Use our CNC, welding, and large-format capabilities as your primary sales tools.
- Project Lifecycle Ownership: Act as the "Culture Protector" for your projects. You are the bridge between the client’s vision and our internal production team to ensure our "Excellence as the Standard" remains intact.
- Strategic Estimation: Work with our production team to provide accurate quotes that preserve margins while offering the client the best "Aesthetic" impact.
What You Bring (The "Intermediate" Sweet Spot)
- Experience: 3–5 years of B2B sales experience. Experience in construction, signage, architecture, or industrial supplies is a massive asset.
- The "Micro" Lens: Sharp attention to detail. You understand that a measurement off by 1/2 an inch can ruin a 20-foot backlit backdrop.
- Communication Mastery: You can speak the "language of the shop" with our fabricators and the "language of the boardroom" with developers.
- Operational Agility: You aren't afraid to put on a hard hat and high-vis vest to meet a GC on a dusty construction site.

- Base Salary: $65,000 Up (Based on experience).
