Group of Companies (CVI), is currently hiring Security Personnel in Grande Prarie, Alberta for an upcoming pipeline project. This security position will require full time availability for Night shift and possible Day shifts (depending on Client requirements). The length of the shifts are 12 hours long. Successful completion of Alberta provincial security licensing is required.
Please note this is not a Fly In/Fly out Position; hotels and camp not provided; First Nation and local workers to the area will be given first priority

What you will be doing:
- Observe, record, and report activities and security incidents while on shift
- Provide exceptional, high level customer service to the client in a sometimes challenging and dynamic environment
- Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of all client facilities, and provide access control as needed
- Enforce regulations and follow site specific instructions
- Patrol client properties to prevent unauthorized entry
- Conduct Drug screening and Alcohol Breathalyzer tests as required
- Conduct searches and control access/egress of secure facilities
- Effectively communicate all suspicious activities and concerns to the appropriate supervisors or Law enforcement, as required
- Ability to resolve workplace issues and resolve same through nonviolent conflict intervention
- Other duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
- Valid Alberta Basic Security License (AST) for Alberta and British Columbia an Assest)
- H2S Alive, First Aid and CSTS Tickets are required
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test (marijuana is screened)
- Valid driver's license and clean driver’s abstract
- Full Time availability, as our team works on 12-hour rotating shifts
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (days/nights/weekends)
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public, in a professional and effective manner
