Looking for a Wills and Estates Legal Assistant for a downtown law firm with 2+ years. Start to finish experience in Wills and Estates, Estate Planning and Estate Administration.
Responsibilities include:
- preparing correspondence, Wills, Enduring Power of Attorneys, Personal Directives
- Estate Administration documents (grant applications), completing service, filings at Surrogate Court
- Communicating with and assisting executors, beneficiaries, accountants, various government agencies
- Drafting miscellaneous corporate/commercial documents as necessary and assisting with other solicitor-based legal tasks such as real estate and corporate commercial matters.
The successful candidate will manage the estate file progress to completion, report to clients, and take care of the day-to-day administrative duties of a busy practice such as tasks lists, file organization, appointment bookings, diarizations, preparing accounts, and filing.
The successful candidate must also be detail oriented, a self-starter, accurate and have exceptional multi-tasking, communication, and organization skills. Advanced Word and experience with document production and management systems are an asset.
