Job Descriptions:
Cambridge International Academy invites applications from dedicated educators for the positions of Biology and English Teacher. The selected candidates will be instrumental in shaping the intellectual and emotional growth of students in grades 9-12, adhering to the highest standards of educational excellence.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction in assigned classes or subjects in alignment with the Ontario curriculum, leveraging your expertise to inspire and engage students.
- Prepare engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to the varying educational needs, abilities, and achievements of students.
- Maintain diligent records of daily attendance and monitor students' adherence to class schedules and school regulations as outlined under the current Education Act of the Province of Ontario.
- Offer additional support to students outside of scheduled class times, fostering an environment of academic growth and inclusivity.
- Regularly assign, correct, and mark student work, providing constructive feedback to support their development and success.
- Conduct continuous assessment, recording, and reporting on the progress, attainment, and behavior of students, promoting their general progress and well-being.
- Uphold good order and discipline among students, ensuring their health and safety, and cultivating a positive learning environment.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, contribute to the planning of school activities, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school curriculum and administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area (Education, Sciences, English, Humanities) or equivalent.
- Valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification preferred.
- Proven experience in high school teaching, demonstrating a capacity to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a dedication to fostering collaborative and supportive educational environments.
