Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations efficiently. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with medical office procedures, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with electronic medical records and office management software is highly valued. The Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate record keeping, contributing to overall clinic success.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes, including collecting insurance information.
- Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Coordinate appointment scheduling with providers, managing calendar updates efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a professional atmosphere
- Adhere to confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations to protect patient information
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Receptionist highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling
- Ability to handle high-volume patient interactions with professionalism and empathy
- Office experience in a healthcare environment is desirable
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
