Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CCTV Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting surveillance systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical systems, computer hardware, and networking, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving low voltage systems, sensors, telecommunication infrastructure, and more. The CCTV Technician will ensure the reliable operation of security systems by conducting inspections, repairs, and upgrades in a professional and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure CCTV surveillance systems, including cameras, sensors, and related hardware.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to facilitate accurate system setup.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CCTV equipment and associated electrical or telecommunication components.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble, install, or repair system components efficiently.
- Conduct testing of low voltage systems such as IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, and other security devices.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate surveillance infrastructure seamlessly.
- Document system configurations, repairs, and upgrades accurately for future reference.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to electrical work and telecommunication installations.
Requirements
- Proven experience with CCTV installation and maintenance in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, networking principles, and telecommunication systems.
- Electrical experience with low voltage wiring and power tools usage.
- Mechanical knowledge for handling various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with sensors, IDS systems, and security protocols is preferred.
- Ability to interpret schematics related to electrical wiring and system layouts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting complex systems.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
