Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage thoroughly to determine the scope of repairs needed
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to remove dents, replace panels, and realign vehicle structures
- Perform automotive repairs including sanding, filling, priming, and painting to restore vehicle surfaces
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair processes
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate progress with team members and customers
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and are completed within established timeframes
- Assist with vehicle disassembly and reassembly as required for complex repairs
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience demonstrating technical proficiency
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and body structures
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including dent removal, panel replacement, and refinishing techniques
- Mechanic experience is highly valued for understanding underlying vehicle components
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
