St. Joseph’s Motherhouse is home to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie.

WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:
DIETARY AIDE Temporary Full-Time
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be familiar with safe food handling techniques
- Must be in good physical condition and able to meet the physical demands of the position and successfully pass a Work Abilities Assessment prior to start date, unless otherwise authorized
- Complete COVID-19 vaccination; being "fully vaccinated" in accordance with relevant Ministry of Health guidelines and in accordance with Motherhouse policy.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to follow instructions
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player
- Good time management skills are required
- A good attendance record is required
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required
- Bilingualism (English/French) and excellent customer service experience an asset
- Must uphold, safeguard and promote our Mission and key values of excellence, dignity, justice, trust, and respect. All employees of the Motherhouse share a duty and responsibility to ensure a high level of personal-centred care for our sisters, tenants, staff, and guests.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma
- Training or certificate in culinary, baking or food presentation is an asset
EXPERIENCE:
- Food preparation and production experience preferred
- Food service experience (setting, serving and clean-up)
- Experience in an institutional setting is an asset
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Safe Food Handler certification required
