We are seeking a dependable and proactive Electrician to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment to support safe and efficient operations. The Electrician will work with a variety of electrical components and control systems, including PLC equipment, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
This position is based at our Abbotsford facility on Clearbrook Road, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment that requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
You are a skilled and safety-focused Electrician with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You thrive in an industrial environment and bring both electrical and mechanical expertise, along with a proactive approach to maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Red Seal Electrical certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an electrician in an industrial environment
- Strong expertise with PLC controls
- Familiarity with industrial and electrical laws
- Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution-driven mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and measuring devices
- Ability to schedule work, balance priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong electrical and mechanical abilities
- Experience working with automation and conveyors
- Ability to use basic tools and machinery
- Flexibility to work late hours, overtime, and weekends when required
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and crawling
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications
- Install electrical wiring, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
- Maintain, repair, install, and test electrical systems and equipment
- Work with switchgear, transformers, switchboards, meters, regulators, and reactors
- Maintain and repair electrical motors, generators, alternators, storage batteries, and control systems
- Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Troubleshoot industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related devices
- Maintain, repair, test, and install PLC equipment
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
